Ocean Park Members’ Doggy Day — Bringing Your Dog to Ocean Park

Ocean Park runs a “Members’ Doggy Day” — a perk that lets annual members bring their dog into designated parts of the park on certain days. It’s a members-only privilege with strict health requirements, so here’s exactly how it works before you plan a visit.

Members only — the basics

This is an annual-members-only privilege: you must hold an Ocean Park annual membership to take part. Each dog must be accompanied by a participant aged 12 or above, and each person may bring only one dog. There’s no extra ticket or fee — it’s free for members.

When it runs

Doggy Day operates on selected days — generally every Monday and Thursday through 31 March 2027, with some exclusions — during regular park opening hours. Check Ocean Park’s official page for the current dates and any blackout days before you go.

What your dog needs (checked at entry)

The health requirements are strict and verified on arrival:

  • A valid dog licence from the AFCD (Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department)
  • A microchip — it’s scanned at entry
  • Rabies vaccination, plus canine distemper and parvovirus vaccinations, given at least 14 days beforehand
  • A soft copy of the vaccination records to show at entry

Without these, your dog won’t be admitted.

Rules inside the park

Dogs must be leashed at all times. Dogs over 20kg need a leash no longer than 2m; dangerous breeds need a muzzle and a leash no longer than 1.5m. Dogs cannot enter rides, most exhibits, restaurants or the cable car. To take the Ocean Express between the Waterfront and the Summit, your dog must be muzzled, in a pet cart/bag, or carried.

Where dogs can go

Designated areas only: at the Waterfront — Aqua City, the Lagoon and Old Hong Kong; at the Summit — Rainforest, Thrill Mountain and the ground floor of Pacific Pier — reached via the Ocean Express.

Not a member?

Doggy Day is members-only, so if you’re not an annual member you can’t bring your dog this way. For places you can take your dog any day, use the map and the parks and malls listings on this site.
